In general, we strongly recommend you allow your CopperEgg collectors to automatically update themselves. The update process doesn't touch anything but the collector itself, and we do roll out collector changes frequently, and we do deprecate old versions and roll out new functionality that depends on newer collector versions frequently as well.
However, some environments have compliance or security requirements that causes them to have a hard requirement to shut off this functionality.
In C:\Program Files (x86)\CopperEgg\RevealCloud\revealWindows.exe.config you will see the token
<add key="autoUpdate" value="true"/>
Set it to false instead.
Simply add the -x command line parameter to wherever you are starting up the revealcloud process. This will stop auto-update.
