Common issues installing the CopperEgg collector on Windows

The most frequent cause of failure to install is that the Windows collector cannot communicate with CopperEgg:

-Please double-check that you are copying the API key from the CopperEgg UI into the dialogue box. Sometimes when people paste in the api key, there is an extra space preceding the apikey; if this happens, delete the space and then continue installing

-The collector must be able to access the internet on ports 80 and 443, and be able to access several domains. These requirements are listed here:

If you had to change any firewall settings for these ports or made changes to enable access to these domains, rerun the installer.

If you still get the same error, please execute the following command from the Windows command line, running as Administrator:

C:\Windows\System32\msiexec /i RevealCloudSetup.msi /l*v c:\revealcloud.log

Then please zip the "c:\revealcloud.log" and attach to your response. This should give us the information we need to help us get passed the install issue.
